What is a prompt?
A prompt is a phrase or individual keywords used as input to an AI tool like ChatGPT. The tool then tries to analyze and understand the input and automatically generates a response. So it’s important that you word your prompts in a way that the tool can understand.
First, give proper context to your ask. For example, instead of asking, “what do I need to write an NDA,” tell the AI to act as the general counsel of a technology company and ask the questions it would need to complete a request to draft an NDA.
Second, tailor your request with desired parameters that best meet your needs. For example:
● Length of request (e.g., five sentences)
● Comprehension level
● Form (e.g., an email, essay, contract template)
