Carl Adams – Global Director of Legal AI (Exigent)

I focus on delivering innovative business performance and risk management optimization solutions for our clients by combining creative thinking, legal expertise and commercial acumen with technology assisted and data driven contract management and auditing techniques. In addition, I serve as in-house counsel for Exigent by providing advice on a broad range of internal and external contract reviews, negotiations and drafting needs, as well as managing legal and commercial risk and regulatory compliance. Our solutions greatly enhance our clients’ ability to use data from contracts and other internal and external sources to optimize business performance, asset utilization and effectively manage the risk and unlock the full value of their contract portfolio by using AI and data analytics technologies. John Albright – Chief Legal & Compliance Officer (HUB International)

John Albright is a commercially-centered legal and compliance executive with leadership experience in public, private and private equity-owned companies. In serving as general counsel for a number of multinational corporations in complex and vastly different industry segments, Mr. Albright has a proven record of building and leading efficient and effective legal departments in environments ranging from the highly regulated, to a global concern that often resembled the culture of a technology start-up.

Jon Evans – Director of Solutions Architecture (Impact Networking, LLC)

Jon has been solving problems and crafting solutions with technology since the 90s. In that time, he helped develop a content management system for fledging ecommerce businesses before sites like Amazon became a household name, and founded a video streaming startup where he oversaw a global team of over 30 people. He officially joined the Impact team in 2007, and worked his way up the ranks with a combination of technical, creative and leadership skills, becoming Impact’s first Solutions Architect. Now, as the Director of Solutions Architecture, he oversees a team to analyze, design and implement solutions that best suit customers’ digital transformation needs. Dr. Murat Kristal completed his doctoral degree (PhD) in Operations, Technology and Innovation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. With a research focus on supply chain and operations management, Dr. Kristal has completed projects in resource allocation in manufacturing, the impact of competition on supply chain, and the development of mass customization capabilities through organizational learning and knowledge management. Channeling his passion for analytics and artificial intelligence, he pioneered the first analytics programs of its kind in Canada. Dan Logan – Legal Data and Innovation Specialist (BrightMinds Capital Partners)

Advisor to the Board of Directors, BrightMinds Capital Partners.  Daniel has over 20 years of domestic and international transaction experience in complex IT and outsourcing transactions, with particular expertise in the financial services sector involving FINTECH work. He regularly advises the firm’s clients on their sophisticated outsourcing agreements, technology licensing and IT procurement matters, and their more complex e-commerce transactions such as those involving cloud computing and big data. Laura Maechtlen – Partner (Seyfarth Shaw LLP)

Laura J. Maechtlen is the National Chair of the Labor and Employment Department at Seyfarth Shaw LLP and Co-Chair of the Firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Action Team.  Her practice is focused on employment litigation and includes the defense of class, collective and multi-plaintiff actions.  Laura also has experience litigating against the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) in systemic actions, both at the early charge stage and in large-scale EEOC pattern-and-practice litigation.  In addition to her litigation practice, Laura also provides day-to-day counseling and advice to clients about the various laws affecting the employment relationship.
